List of common exercises/sports

In the video, we’ve included a few simple exercises for you to train your strength and to keep fit, and how to do these exercises. With regards to the intensity and the duration, we recommend that you start small, increasing as you improve.

Exercises include crunches, leg raises, planking, pull ups and push-ups and side planks. However, we would like to state that you can find other exercises to do to keep fit.

Common sports that you can play in Hwa Chong

Soccer

A soccer team is composed of 11 players, and it is played on a grass field or at a street soccer court with Goals located at each end. These are protected by the respective teams' goalies goalie.

Soccer players cannot touch the ball with their hands. Players must advance the ball down the field by using their feet, heads, and knees.

Table Tennis

Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using a small paddle. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Except for the initial serve, the rules are generally as follows: players must allow a ball played toward them to bounce one time on their side of the table, and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side at least once. A point is scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules.

Basketball

Basketball is a sport, generally played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter and 10 feet (3.048 m) high mounted to a backboard at each end.

This is a simple list of a few different sports which you can play in Hwa Chong without needing to set anything up (the place has been set up for you already :) ) so you just have to bring your equipment and you're ready to go! Do play more sports as it can be a form of exercise and a way to bond with your friends and make new friends!
